WELCOME

The Vermont Modelers' Club (VMC) is a non-profit organization, which promotes all aspects of model aviation, located in central Vermont. VMC is primarily involved with radio controlled aircraft but has a site for indoor free flight also. The VMC currently has members ranging in age from pre-teens to retirees. Our Club emphasizes fun as well as safety. Several Fun-Fly events are scheduled throughout the year for different levels and types of flying.

The VMC was incorporated over 25 years ago and has had one of the largest memberships in the state. Currently the Club has two outdoor fields, and has use of a gymnasium on several dates in the Winter. Members also gather frequently for Float-fly’s at an area pond. To better serve its members and continue its work towards helping people learn about the hobby, VMC became chartered with the Academy of Model Aeronautics as Club #4745.

Check out pictures taken at the Tournament of Champions held in Florida 4/25 & 4/27. (My apologies - I didn't have the right lens with me - but you'll still get the idea!)

VMC promotes the radio control hobby within the community by working with schools and youth organizations as well as giving public demonstrations. The Club offers people of all ages an introductory flight training program with reduced dues and free instruction as well as reduced rates for kids. There are also several dates each year that the public is welcome to fly a club plane with the instructors for Orientation Flights at no cost.

Please come join us at any of our meetings or events which we have listed in our Club Calendar. Hope to see you.
